1. Short-term actions

A toolbox of strategies for short-term actions addresses three areas of intervention (i.e, Actor/Network, Programmatic/Spatial, History/Culture) by proposing a set of tools in each strategy. What makes each strategy and its set of tools site-specific is the process of implementation in the context of Imamzadeh Yahya. Otherwise, each strategy and its series of tools may seem like conventional solutions that can be implemented in any context. As mentioned in the expected outcome, the challenge of applying the strategies in the
context of Imamzadeh Yahya is to balance the local knowledge ( by taking into account their
voices and inviting them to urban actions) with the expert knowledge (existing NGOs in the neighborhood) which will lead to redistribution of power amongst stakeholders (by creating a plan on how to go further) as it is argued by Venessa Watson in her article Co-production and collaboration in planning. (Watson 2014, 6). The result of this collaboration can create a community to strengthen the human-scale mobility challenges in the neighborhood. Also, such collaborative actions can tackle the issue of slum housing types in Imamzadeh Yahya and redirect them into alternative affordable housing.
